North Country R.I.D.E. is a volunteer-based organization and we need many volunteers to assist with classes and work around the farm. Current volunteer opportunities include:
- Sidewalking during a class*
- Facility/grounds Maintenance
- Board/Committee member (more information below)
*We recommend that volunteers be 13 years or older for these tasks.

North Country R.I.D.E. is looking for Board Members with expertise and experience in the following areas:
- North Country R.I.D.E. Client or Volunteer Experience
- Accounting / Finance / Fundraising Experience
- Non-profit organizational leadership skills
- Community relationship / PR / event planning
- Client / Volunteer Services experience
- Health Care Professionals: OT, PT, behavioral health,chronic conditions
- Equine Studies Experience
- Farm / Herd / Land Management
- Construction / Facilities Management
Board Position Application Form
- Board Position terms are 3 years and one can serve 2 consecutive terms.
- Board Officer positions are 1 year terms. Board Officer appointments take place during our February Annual Meeting. In February of 2012 the following Board Officer positions will need to be filled: Board Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The Board meets on the 4th Wednesday of the Month, 11 to 12 times a year. Board Committee meetings and Special Meetings are scheduled as needed throughout the year. The Board adheres to the fundamental concept in the Policy Governance Model where the Board provides strategic direction for the organization and the staff acts on, and executes the vision.
This is a chance for parents, riders, volunteers, and community members to take a leadership role in the future of North Country R.I.D.E.!

- Interested in becoming a certified instructor?
Instructors are paid by the hour with a flexible work schedule to fit your needs. Being a North Country R.I.D.E. instructor is the perfect part-time position for snow-birds returning to the area each summer, and for young adults interested in the instructor-in-training program. You must be 18 years old to be a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH, Intl.) certified instructor.
